So I met Brendan when I was in 3rd or 4th grade. Growing up a small mountain town, we rode the bus together when we were 12 and had always enjoyed each others company. I thought he was smart and he thought I was pretty and easy to talk to. I moved away and we didn't see each other for 20 or more years. Bren looked for me occasionally online as he wondered what had happened to me after all these years. I managed to stay "off the grid" for a while so he had no luck. Then one day responding to a mutual friends facebook comment he saw my name and as soon as he could breath again, sent me a friend request. I accepted and asked if he remembered riding the bus with me when we were little. His response was a supremely flattering letter about how he had a huge crush. He sent the letter on my birthday and it was one of the nicest, most romantic things anyone has ever written. That's where it all began. We were both involved with other people at the time but as communications continued we grew smitten with each other and finally met again for the first time in our home town. He says he knew right away. It took me a while as I am fiercely independent and not one to jump right into relationships. Pretty soon, though, I agreed that we should probably be together for the rest of our lives. We couldn't be happier together, he is my best friend, an amazing lover, and I'm glad he found me.
We met again for the first time in over 20 years in our home town of Ruidoso, a small mountain town in New Mexico. He rented a cabin with two room (because he is after all a gentlemen) but we hit if off immediately and didn't leave each others side for the entire weekend.
In Barcelona...who wouldn't be inspired by a lovely place to stay in Spain?! It looks beautiful with bright colors, big bright windows, and airy space. It makes me dream of going to the local market, snacking on wonderful treats and tacos then picking up some fresh fish and fruit or whatever looks good and taking it back to the apartment to try cooking up some local flavor of our own!
The the first has to be our dogs, Jack Attack and Ginger Red. They are full of personality and fun and love! The second, A very talented artist took descriptions of us and painted a beautiful tile mosaic of the two of us depicted as colorful and lovely characters! The 3rd, is the incredible amount of love and companionship that makes our home welcoming and comfortable to all who enter!
